Max Gordy
One of the founding members of Wellington Longboard Association and Gravity Sports New Zealand. When he's not working hard to promote the longboarding scene, he's out bombing all the fine hills wellington has to offer. If you're ever in wellington make sure to hit him up and he'll show you the local stomping grounds.
My Setup at the moment is a custom pulse topmount, 50° 180mm areas, and Orange Otangs Inheats for DH 4prez for freeride.
Favourite spot would have to be any hill that requires drifting for corners.
Skating tip that most helped me. 2 words. "counter rotation"

Hey! I'm Racheal, some of you may know me as Barbie, I love the downhill aspect of skating the most, the rush of air you get racing down the hill, the sudden excitement of pulling a wicked slide and the achievement you feel when you conquer a mean hill. I won the girls division at the last wind turbine race in Wellington and I'm keen to do it again this year, I love being able to motivate people, especially girls to skate and am always pushing people into the sport. I'm honored to be a part of the amazing Ultimate Boards team and hope to do them proud this year.
Favourite setup: Rayne Killswitch on gullwing chargers, red barrell venoms and orangatang purple in heats ( a trusted set-up that I love)
Favourite skate spot: threeway tie between cave road, hunters hill or the wind turbine ( all in Wellington)
Skating tip: as lame as it sounds, stick to it.. everyone is a noob in the beginning but if you just keep going and keep trying from further up each time you eventually succeed.. also protection! noone wants a boo boo!
Api Ihaia
Hi, my name is Api.
I like to skateboard.
I am a skateboard bum in summer and a snowboard bum in winter so life is pretty good to me. I also teach both of these sports to help fund my lifestyle. Dunedin is the city I live in and many of our hills are covered in chip seal which does wonders for your wheels and to your skin when you fall on it.
My favourite skate gear would be my aera's, they are getting old but they have always been there for me and being K1's they are OG.
Favourite board is a Pulse Longboard that has my custom concave on it (mmmmmm).
Wellington would probably be my favourite place to skate but all around NZ has my favourite hills. Chch has Mjr A, Ruapehu is amazing, Dunedin has a 100kph urban run and there are more around that are to be kept quiet.
