Freestyle longboard focus

Returning with proprietary wet-layup resin and custom fiberglass weave the Apex 34 takes a huge step forward for 2011. The 34 builds off of it's mahogany-aspen core-heritage and branches off away from the Carbon Apex 37 construction (introduced earlier this year) staying true to it's light weight whip around past. While the weave and resin keeps it both strong and light, it also drastically limits the number of boards Original can turn around to just a few hundred every few months. For this reason the Apex 34 is available in exceedingly limited quantities and may go out of stock quickly.

Apex 34 Design

A flexible longboard is great for carving, but the crisp response you get out of a more firm, shorter, board can make a huge difference in your freestyle longboarding game. The Apex 34 takes a good thing and makes it even better, like the Apex 37, the Apex 34 makes use of Original’s industry leading Hybrid Vert-Lam core. Combined with a shorter wheelbase, that core means easy flippage and quick rippage, providing an all around ride that is ideal for the freestyle minded longboarder looking to advance.

Lower than low

In longboard skateboards, height gives you added power in the carves at the cost of stability at speed and flip trick control. The Apex 34 is custom routed using a precision CNC router to drop Original trucks straight to the deck (no riser). This drop to deck design, combined with the fact that Original longboard trucks are the lowest trucks on the market makes the Apex 34 lower than, or at least as low as, the most popular drop-through longboards on the market.

Strikingly light

Coming in just under 5 lbs (complete with S8 200mm Original trucks and Kryptonics 62mm Wheels) the Apex 34 is the lightest board in the Original line and lighter than the Apex 37 by almost 30%. Given that the Apex 37 is already the lightest longboard in its size range (37'' to 38'' inches) the further weight reduction showcased in the Apex 34 leaves the rider with a longboard skateboard that is lighter than many shortboard skateboards on the market today. Holding one is believing, there is a new standard in feather weight longboards.

Up, or down, for anything

Just like the larger Apex 37, the Apex 34 sports a twin-tip longboard skateboard shape ideal for mastering longboard slides and spins, while maintaining your focus on forward direction. No worries on that varial flip, the nose is the tail, keep pushing your longboarding and keep pushing your longboard, no need to revert. Remember. There is no wrong way to longboard on the Apex 34.
